Rework hunter's windburst animation to get rid of fps drops

Don't know how hard to make that and personally i don't have any problems with fps, but many people complain about drastic fps drops due to windburst cloud, particles that it creates ( especially with multiple hunters that cast it from max range ). I suggest to rework it, make it something simple or even use anothers spell animation so people with bad PC could at least enjoy raiding without complainng about hunters all the time.

I completely agree but its not only people with bad pcs people with good ones also get a huge fps drop from windburst and this is weird since it started to tank fps on retail at patch 7.2

...Yeah, i don't as well because i have good PC but it is not the same for everyone, in fact a lot of people struggle from it and it has to be changed regardless. You can't force everyone to upgrade PC, instead just fix damn spell already lol.

Windburst draws a white trail of smoke on the floor for a few seconds. it cause DRAMATIC drop in fps to many players including myself even on low settings.

You must have very solid PC to not experiecne anything or just know nothing about it. Indeed, its barely noticeable in dungeons or raids with 1 MM hunter, but as i said, im talking about stacking more than 2MM hunters. We had 5 of them in a raid so imagine how it was for some people that experience lagg even from 1 windburst. Game freezes for several seconds everytime its being used and I'm just saying that it shouldn't be like that. I play on ultra with 100+ fps and usually i dont see the difference, but honestly, on Helya for example even i drop to 15-20 fps on pull.
Please don't post stuff like that, especially if you have no idea, i'm trying to get this fixed asap and make game enjoyable for everyone and comments like this just make the whole process harder.

Yes please do this, when i play on notebook i literaly get fps freeze for 3s on windburst or that frost dk dragon spell

I've googled a bit, i first aimed toward knowing if you could remove the animation on client side but it's not possible after talking with friends. WARDEN could even have something to say in it.

What you can do however is to change settings beyond what the client's menu allows you to, try any of these individually until you see change :

• /console spelleffectlevel 100

• /console graphicsparticledensity 0.1

• Set max FPS to a certain amount, in the system menu (could be advanced settings, i can't log in right now)

• Try to update as much drivers for you computer as possible and if you can, check if your components are plugged correcrtly
