[FIXED] [Legion Cooking] Nomi giving lower level duplicates

WoW Freakz link: Nomi in Dalaran - Broken Isles (database doesn't work at the moment )

Bug description: Nomi have several important bug to improve cooking research:
1) It produce rank 2 recipe even if you don't know rank 1

2) It produce recipe you already know

How it should work:
1) It shouldn't produce rank 2 recipes if you don't know rank 1

2) it shouldn't produce recipes that you already know

Until you know the recipe, the game assumes you don't and will continue to produce the recipe until you learn it. Either vary your work orders more or check Nomi constantly so you can learn the recipe sooner and the game can mark it off the list for you.

You are, however, correct about not learning rank 2 or 3 before learning rank 1 or 2. They supposedly addressed it here https://forum.wow-freakz.com/FIXED-Nomi-rank-3-recipes-cooking-t516790.html so I wonder if your orders predate the fix and couldnt be avoided or if it continues to be a bug.



Nomi seems iffy on retail to say nothing of a private server so I just anticipate needing to keep focus on her as she'll probably need to be fixed several times before its right. Nomi is very frustrating for everyone and was disliked very much on retail.

Yeah after this kinda bug got fixed 2 times alredy, It's still bugged, yesterday I got 4 same recepies at same time which are rank 4 and one recepie rank 2 of which I don't have rank 1.

Edit: Today i opened again and now I got several same rank 3 recepies.

As i said and @Dongwise confirmed, it's not a bug, you have just to check frequently your order to pick up and learn a recipe as soon as possible. But if we pay attention in the proof of main topic you can see i got recipe i already know.

So it's blizzlike that u can get 5 same recepies ?

EDIT: Nvm just read it that it happens on retali too, they reccomend you not to put 21 researchs at same time, so thats ok, But I'm still getting recipes rank 2 or 3 that i don't have lower rank of.

Yes, if you do it improperly.

It's like this: the kind of ingredient you give Nomi will be used in the recipe she gives back. If you give her 100 Stormray for 20 orders and you don't check back until those 20 orders are totally done, you are almost guaranteed to get multiples of the same recipe. If you want a recipe badly enough to still do this, check back frequently so you can try and learn the recipe early and take it off the loot table. The best way to do Nomi is just to vary your order, no more than 3-4 per type of food.

Use the wowhead guide I linked above and check the comments, people list out the ingredients you need to give Nomi for whatever recipe you're searching for.

Update on what exactly? You can get duplicates on retail too, so that's not a bug, it was said hundreds of times, AND I just created 300 (yes literally 300) shipments of various ingredients, NEVER got a single recipe I could not learn (aka a recipe for which I did not have the precedent rank)

Hello Quicksand. (literally 300? xD wow a lot of time) As you can see in my proof i got a rank 2 without have a rank 1 and a recipe that i already know. So i don't know if it's a very rare bug(better than lich king's mount) or just an already fixed bug after i reported it

Let me write it so you can see it as well:

There is a high chance you will get Badly Burnt Food back from your Work Order, so don't dump all of your cooking reagents into Work Orders. There is also a chance you can get duplicate recipes, so it seems better to queue up a variety of Work Orders with different ingredients, instead of queue up Work Orders for one type of reagent.

Learn to read please.

I have a command that completes all workorders that I have, obviously I didn't wait 300*4 hours but I never got a recipe that I could not learn, so probably it was fixed after the bugreport was created

i placed just 3 work orders: one leyblood, one fatty beartsteak, one runescale koi and i got one recipe rank 2 that i already know...why didn't i get a rank 3? https://imgur.com/a/2FsRdWw

Okay, so. Nomi will now always give you an upgrade if possible. You can still get duplicate recipes for example when you learned everything except a rank 3 for a specific food, and you start let's say 10 work orders. maybe you'll get that rank 3 recipe twice, or even 3 times, but as long as there is a recipe that you don't know, it will prioritize that (needless to say, it will still give you the next rank, won't give you rank 3 if you only know rank 1).

In other words: you can get duplicate only from recipes that you DON'T already know

In case you already learned every single recipe from that type of food, you'll get a random recipe, because at this point it's completely irrelevant what you get
