Why am I getting randomly PvP flagged?

It happens a lot of time, I don't do PvP, only enjoy questing and PvE so I have it turned off on my character portrait options. But in some world quests around bosses, something triggers PvP, an AoE spell maybe, I don't know and it's really not pleasant to be damaged or even killed in the process. Is this normal? It's happening on my other character also, a DK with lower ilvl

Hello. That problem was really big a few months ago, when people would get PvP flagged by doing AoE damaged to other flagged players. But that issue was fixed. There are still some small things that flag you for PvP, for example using a Toy from the Collection on a flagged player, that will also flag you. But AoE spells and abilities should all be fixed and not flag you.

They are not, I don't use toys, please help me, both my characters suffer from this problem. I don't know what to do. Like I said, PvP disabled in Options and suddenly I fight around a world boss and it flags me if there are any Alliance players with PvP enabled. I don't know what spell or what causes it

if you pvp off, then someone beside you have pvp on, then your aura of mercy healed that character besides you with pvp on, you'll get pvp on too. even tho you did nothing

If i recall correctly, for instance in the quest "Won't somebody think of Whelps", if you click a cage when a PVP flagged player form opposing faction is nearby, then you'll be flagged too...
