Bug description: Hi in open world PVP destro lock Chaos Bolt seems to be bugged for way too much damage. As you can see on the picture below I received 2.5M damage only from this one spell which is nearly just basically a one - shot. My character has 880+ ILVL so shouldnt get one-shotted by a single spell.

It's not bugged. Pvp talent and chaos bolt base damage buffed by mastery alone will do that much damage. The spell has the possibility to do a lot more than what you mentioned.

But against PVE enviroment and not PVP in that scenario all what lock is is fear and oneshot chaosbolt just check on BG/Arena there is balanced and does a fairly good amount of damage but in open world PVP is bugged deals the same damage as I would be an NPC.

It is world pvp, unless you have template active (which applies in bgs/arenas), you're not spared of the full damage of any spells. This applies to all classes.

Thats not correct PVP is PVP and PVE is PVE spells always deal more damage to PVE enviroment than PVP, doesnt matter if its world PVP or not. This should be fixed. As I didnt notice this with any other class than Warlock and Hunter. And I do open world PVP often.

Yes I know, but just for your reference on 7.1 it was working as intended

also just check some youtube world pvp with lock on official at 7.2 . It does not oneshot but does a fairly good amount of damage. As since this server is trying to get as close to offi as possible my point is still that this is a bug

Proof is there as picture, even just looking at it looks surreal to be right. And let the game masters decide about it as I say prev patch it was balanced, also official was balanced and since on official is currently BFA only proof is to watch youtube videos

World pvp is the least of my concerns. You have brought no proof of the fact that it is not supposed to be like it is, I'm not blind. You will reach nowhere with the sheer fact that you "believe" it's not supposed to be like that.

World pvp does not apply the pvp template, this means it is very easy for classes such as destro and arcane to one shot people. This is not a bug, this is just how the game is.
