Unable to load manifest for patch 70205

Been trying to check out the servers for a while now, but can't launch the game, been getting this error

Naturally i lurked around this forum and in the internet in general, found out that this error shows up when you try to play without a fully downloaded client and that the solution would usually be to download the game through the torrent.
But the thing is that i did torrent the game from the official thread here, so i'm absolutely stumped here, another thing to note is that i'm running Arch Linux, 64bit, running the game through wine, standard stuff.

Try performing a re-check on the files via the torrent, to make sure that nothing is corrupt and/or missing.

Should it still occur, get this config folder: https://www.wow-freakz.com/wow/legion/config_24742_2.zip
Go to your Data folder and delete the config folder found there, replace it with the one you've downloaded.

Verified the torrent files, but after that the error was basically replaced with another one


i did replace the config folder with what you linked, so i dunno what to do now

The folder I gave you is the one to fix exactly that error.

Can you show screenshots of your main folder, the Data folder and the config folder inside the data folder, please?

Cheers, the game launched, got to the login screen, but it hangs at "Connecting".
I'll assume that it's something serverside going on.
edit: nevermind, according to the website, serverside everything is fine, something is still on my end

This usually means a connection cannot be established to our login realms. Possible causes:

-Your firewall is blocking connections, deactivate it

-You are behind a router and your ports are blocked. Easiest way do avoid this is set your computer as a DMZ zone (demilitarized zone). How to do this depends on your router, google enable DMZ YOUR_ROUTER_NAME. If you can't do that but you know how to unblock ports, check the next step

Unblock the following TCP ports: 1111-1119, 1129, 8001-8009, 8019, 8085, 8086

Doesn't seem to help.
Don't have a firewall that i'm aware of, while dmz'ing and fowarding ports didn't seem to help, but i'll at least address what struck as odd when i first opened the game while i'm at it.

Definitely not part of the problem. Should be resolved when deleting the Interface folder.

Check if any other application is using any of the mentioned ports. I'm unfortunately not knowledgable about Linux, so I don't know how it's done there.

Nope, none of the ports you listed were being used by anything else.

Hmm, try a DNS Flush and a physical reset of your router, could be a DNS issue in that case (although I'd be expecting it to be stuck on Logging into game server, not Connecting if that was the case)

i'm feeling like it could be something with my ISP, so i doubt i can solve it, so i guess i'll lay it off for now, but at least the initial issue has been solved, so at least something got done

You can try a free VPN to see if it's ISP related, I'd recommend TunnelBear, a VPN I've used for a good year in the past, was always satisfied with it.

perhaps, i tried torifying wine, but it didn't really work, so i guess i'll look at what options i have
