Hello ClopotAlbastru,

Open your Task Manager and close all processes related to World of Warcraft and Freakz Launchers, then restart your computer.

If you're using Windows 10, check your Firewall settings, a recent update has caused those to reset for many users, which may cause your launcher to be blocked.

Should that not work, try the following solutions:
- Redownload the launcher
- Set all launcher_freakz and WoW executables to run with administrator privileges
- Delete the WTF folder
- Move the WoW client to another location on your hard drive, for example the Desktop
- Delete launcher_freakz-64.exe, launcher_freakz-64.dll and Wow-64.exe

Best regards
Sarah

I've seen that the last post in this thread is from 2017. I am posting this from 2019 and I'm still facing the same issue. Please, I want to enjoy this server. Please fix this problem.

Btw, does this error also happens in MOP server? Thanks

Hello batarasamuel,

If you're using Windows 10, check your Firewall settings, a recent update has caused those to reset for many users, which may cause your launcher to be blocked.

Should that not work, try the following solutions (one by one, not all at once!)
- Redownload the launcher
- Remove the Read Only property from the ENTIRE game folder
- Set all launcher_freakz and WoW executables to run with administrator privileges
- Delete the WTF folder
- Move the WoW client to another location on your hard drive, for example the Desktop (And most importantly, the error tends to happen when it's not on the C: drive)
- Delete launcher_freakz-64.exe, launcher_freakz-64.dll and Wow-64.exe

I can guarantee that this works, if you're actually doing all of the steps, and do them CORRECTLY. So far every single time we've had people saying it didn't work for them, it turned out that they missed steps or did some of them incorrectly.

Common mistakes are:

- Not removing read only or only doing so from the Data folder (The not using launcher issue, if client related, comes from Interface and/or WTF)
- Not setting ALL launchers and WoW exes to run as admin, or doing right click and clicking run as admin on the launcher (which would only run the Freakz launcher, but not WoW, as admin, and only once)
- Having the client on a different hard drive or partition than C:\\\\\\\\ (Not sure why this causes the problem, as it doesn't do so on every PC, but it was the reason on my Windows 7 laptop for example)

The solution to the problem is one of the ones listed above, definitely.

As for the MoP realm, it won't happen there, but our MoP realm is pretty dead, since a vast majority of the playerbase has moved on to Legion.

Best regards
Sarah

I'm getting the same problem in the legion server.
when I loggin, I'm kicked after 30 seconds.
I've tried the above suggested solution but none has worked.
any other idea to let me play again?

Hello magepac86,

Overclocked CPUs cause this problem (need to use non-overclocked CPUs)
And if Windows XP is no longer supported as of this patch. (Just like on retail 7.2.5)

If you don't have an overclocked CPU or aren't using Windows XP, then you haven't followed one or multiple of the steps mentioned above correctly.

Best regards
Sarah

So I'm sure you get these a lot, since I already saw quite a few unsolved ones, so the problem is I log into the game I play for around 30 seconds and then it says I'm not using your launcher, which I am, and not launcher for 64 bit version but the launcher_freakz.exe as you guys said, no matter what I tried fixed it, however it did work for a time yesterday and I leveled to like LV 60 and then I went to sleep, came back today and that thing kept happening, I use the "download while playing" version of the game, so the things I did:

-Downloaded new client (several dozens of times)
-Even installed new OS
-Ran as Admin
-Deleted Cache/WTF
-Tried running other launcher for 64 bit with and without admin as well
-Tried changing compatibility
-Looked deep into the forums, with no luck at all
-Disabled Firewall
-Deleted Anti-Virus
-Made sure the game has acces to the internet.

The problem is not any crash or anything of sorts, it is just the fact that I keep getting kicked from the server after playing for about 30 seconds even though I do use the launcher I had been told to use, also my question for you, why do you even have this thing if it repells players who would love to play here other than somewhere else, I am not the only case honestly, I saw at least 50+ people with the same problem, don't feel offended I just think it's completely pointless to have that auto kick thing if it brings more problems than good, as the server grows it will just add up.

I managed to fix that error by simply deleting ALL the FOLDERS (folders ONLY, not other files in the wow folder) - sounds, errors, logs, screenshots etc EXCEPT FOR DATA and INTERFACE (DO NOT DELETE THOSE). Then simply run wow_freakz_32 (64 seems to cause some issues for me) and the error disappears - Hope I helped, happy gaming!

Well, after a long battle with the launcher, I found out that the issue with me was as it goes:

When I run the launcher, in my Task Manager I get two times the Process "Wow.exe" and one time the launcher. Simply ending one of the Wow.exe processes does the work for me, I don't even need to exit the game or restart my computer. I hope I was helpful, enjoy the game! -

Yes, that's the most common occurance, and also the first one I list in my long compiled list of possible solutions for people with this error.

Have fun and ejoy the game!
