[General] Drinking/Eating in arenas

In arena, once you leave combat and start drinking any mana drinks or eating the mage food, you gain mana/hp straight away. There should be a 5 seconds delay. So you should NOT gain any mana/hp from drinks/food for the first 5 seconds after you start eating.

As you can see , the druid started to drink with "20 seconds drinking buff" and he started to gain mana 5 seconds later "when he had 15 sec drinking buff".

I have faced players that are sitting full mana in arenas by simply abusing this bug. First you leave the combat quicker then you should , then you drink for 2 seconds =>full mana.

5 Seconds gone drinking and he only had 1% more mana because of the "out of combat" regen.

Im 99% sure you are correct about point 2, however would be nice to see it from legion. I think legion tournament utube videos had druids drinking. So look those up. Shouldn't take long. I would do it myself but this ain't my report

I can confirm this, it shouldn't give mana instant, it should have delay, that's how it worked since forever on all patches all expansions.

Confirmed. The proof in the thread is already more than enough to confirm this issue.

Sidenote: This hidden mechanic has actually seen many changes over the years, for example the fact that if theres a fight within 20yards of the player you wont be able to regenerate mana, or patches were mage's food would not have an internal delay. But yes, the internal mana regeneration delay has existed ever since pvp food was introduced in the game.
