[FIXED] [Druid][Balance][Artifact Trait] Echoing Stars

Bug description: Echoing stars is not dealing the damage it should, I did a Shivarra comparing my damage to the logs (casting a similar amount of Starfalls) and mine did 6m damage while retail their damage was 100m damage on the same fight.

The trait works sometimes but something regarding the range or something must be off.
Class hall dummies work strange(sometime things like sunfire spread sometimes they don't so may not be the most accurate)
With that said, let's see some tests regarding the range of the spell

Tested on the dummies in orgrimmar

Test1: Hitting 2 dummies with stafall

27 starfall hits, 18 echoing stars hits

The targets are really close to eachother so the number of echoing stars hits should be the same

We can see that here it procs every time when targets are that close

Testing on 2 dummies in draenor:

We see that they are pretty close to eachother (in sunfire spread range) and still echoing stars is not triggering. And by the fact that on retail it was triggerig at coven of shivara where bosses have to be atleast 18 yards appart we are lead to believe that the range of echoing stars is too small.(should have like 20 yards maybe like the leggo shoulders?)

Ok so I did a little testing. The non existant dmg on my first video was due to bugged dummies in class hall (or the range is smaller then 2-3 yards). I tried it on the stormwind dummies, they are bugged as well no echoing stars dmg on them. In Oggrimar the 3 big raiding dummies are working, the 4 smallies in the back are bugged and no echoing stars damage inflicted on them.
Due to the bugged dummies I went on broken isles to real mobs and tried it.
I can confirm VoidToilets reply regarding the range.
The range of echoing stars is currently limited to around 5 (maybe 3 or maybe 8) yards, so if you have 2 mobs in your starfall and they are more then 5 (3 or 8) yards apart from each other, they wont trigger echoing stars on each other as they should

Edit: The range until echoing stars is triggered is at least 15, if not 20 yards (@devs I have full video + logs from retail if you are interested)

As far as I can remember, the range itself should be limited to max "8 YARDS", same as frost mage's talent - Splitting Ice (which enables 2 target cleave dmg). Nonetheless, I cannot find any official post concerning the circumstance itself.
Perhaps in your encounter bosses were too far away from each other for talent to work correctly?

@RedCoats How do you explain my two target video then? Mobs are super close and don't get hit by echoing stars. There is definitly something wrong with the range.

That's true, they are close. But @Cairnebloody was able to proc it even though I am certain the mobs were even further in his case. Perhaps it's the proc rate that's messed up? I too will try to test it on live when I get some free time

The proc rate must be at least 18 yards, because retail proof is Coven of Shivarra where you can only deal damage when they are separated at least 18 yards (proof: https://wowhead.com/coven-of-shivarra-antorus-the-burning-throne-raid-strategy-guide) and this was the same fight where I was having enough range so both starfall and moonfire with legendary shoulders hit both targets (legendary shoulders range is 20 yards). If I am not mistaken, the few procs that I got where when the Shivarras need to be tank swapped (and they receive 99% reduced damage), so the range is off compared to retail anyways.

Yes but I believe that's a measure from center to center. However we have to include the actual hitboxes here, thus reducing the actual distance between bosses for spell casters and melee

Now down to whats wrong:

-Regarding the Range, spells tagged with the *nearby enemy* have a flat value of 8y (some spells may modify this, but the baseline is 8), and this is from hitbox-to-hitbox, which means that for some enemies such as coven this is substantially larger when taken effectively. But that is irrelevant for the issue, the problem is that right now Echoing Stars is triggering off True Distance ("EXACT_3D_DISTANCE"), which is center-to-center, disregarding hitbox', this can easily be tested if you take 2 large mobs with 5+ yards of base hitbox and keep them roughly within eachothers hitbox but without clipping them, then starfall and watch Echoing not work at all (for this you can see proof above by Gomzul2 with his 2 target experiment with "massive" enemies.)

-Additionally, right now the distance at which Echoing Stars will cease to work is 7yards (instead of 8), but thats a much more negligible issue than the fact of hitbox's been ignored.

Also keep in mind that many *nearby enemy* abilities are not necesarily proced from an enemy but rather a ground effect from a 0y range hidden npc (such as Full Moon, which has 8yards from epicenter).

As an example, in this screenshots i will show the effective distance from hitbox and center of enemies.

Context:
This dummies have 1.5 yards of hitbox.

Im standing on the corner dummy, the two dummies infront of me (from left to right) are at 7.2 yards (center to center) / 3.2 yards (hitbox to hitbox) and 6.9 yards (center to center) / 2.9 yards (hitbox to hitbox), additionally the far right dummy is exactly at 11.8 yards (center to center) / 7.8 yards (hitbox to hitbox) from the right dummy.

This means that if echoing stars were working correctly, all 4 dummies would be able to trigger it and attack eachother. But currently only the dummy that im standing on and the right one do trigger it, which are the 2 closest dummies at 6.9 center-to-center yards. Which also shows the maximun distance of 7 yards that its also wrong.
