WOW installation damaged

Downloaded the game via torrent provided by wowfreakz.

Unchecked "Read-Only" on main wow directory properties. Executed the launcher, picked "America" english for region and got the error below:

Your World of Warcraft installation is damaged. To learn how to repair it, see: https://battle.net/support/article/6572

Please advise.

Having problems also.
Hi, Im a returning player and just recently downloaded the game the way you did.
Torrent > Unchecked Read-Only > Ran as Admin > Picked America En

I dont get a message or anything. It just doesnt load anything but shows on my Task Manager.
Im replying so I can get notified of the issue too. Thanks!

Hi again, so I went to Discord and this was their recommendation.

Should you still have the torrent file, right click it in your Torrent client and perform a re-check on the files, that will solve the problem. If you are unable to do so, Im afraid youll have to redownload. Id recommend keeping a working backup folder of the client at all times. Should your active client break, you can simply delete it and create a copy of the backup - this will save you the trouble of having to redownload.

It didnt work for me but try it.

Thanks that worked for me. After deleting it and running the launcher as admin, a command prompt came up and ask me to press any key. Then the game loaded.

My problem is it doesnt give me the error you have.
After selecting my Region it just sits there in my Task Manager for hours.

Hello,
If it's in the task manager, that means that it is loading in the background. Give it some time and if nothing happens within an hour, post a new topic.
