[DUPLICATE] [ICC] Professor Putricide missing

Bug description: After killing both Festergut and Rotface, Professor Putricide, instead of being in his room at the alchemist table and be attackable, he is standing at the balcony of Festergut's room and is not attackable. This prevents him from being killed which also does not allow the ICC portal to be activated and blocks access to the Lich King.
This encounter used to work sometime during Legion, I did not expect this to be the meaning of

I can confirm . You can't get past Professor Putricide , you can't attack / target / summon him as it was in Legion. You just get turned into the big ogre when you click the table and nothing else happens.

Sorry couldn't get back to you any sooner, the server was dead.
Apparently due to these crashes Festergut and Rotface respawned in my instance so I could try this a couple more times.

This appears to happen when you kill Rotface before you kill Festergut.

Detailed explanation:

Spoiler:

While fighting Festergut - Professor comes out on balcony to cast Malleable Goo on players.


After the fight is over Professor remains on the balcony.


While fighting Rotface - Professor comes out on balcony to cast Vile Gas on players.


After the fight is over Professor retreats back into his room.


So if you killed Rotface before Festergut, Professor Putricide remains on the balcony of Festergut's side.


He remains there stationary, untargetable and without health pool.


Bonus image: - Abomination does not have a texture model, the Giant guarding the entrance to Plagueworks also does not have a texture model.

I went to test on all modes.

10 Normal:
I killed Festergut and Rotface and go to PP's room. He enters my range of vision as he's running to the front right side of the room, looking over Rotface's room. Then, he just stayed there. So, I decided to attack him. Then, he just vanished. After that, I went to write this comment and before posting, I turned towards the table and he was right there. I attacked him again and it worked fine.

10 Heroic:
Same thing here. Professor running to the balcony looking over Rotface's room. I taunt him before he reaches the spot and the fight plays out normally - he didn't vanish. So nothing wrong (except the running) here either.

25 Normal:
I enter the lab and look around, because there's no running professor. There, at Rotface's balcony, I spot him. Untargettable. Running up to the table and running around it does not trigger the encounter. Clicking on the table also does not trigger the encounter. I did see him when killing Festergut and he had his dialogue. However, with Rotface, he did not. Something might be going wrong there.


25 Heroic:
Same thing happened here. No Professor dialogue during the Rotface encounter (he does stand on the balcony during the encounter) and he's stuck on the balcony, untargettable. Table again has no effect.



So, this seems to be a 25 man (normal and heroic) bug only, with an origin in the Rotface fight, I think.

The encounter works totally fine I just tested it. If you're unable to engage him, leave the raid, go inside of 10man or 25man (opposite the one you were doing) and then re-enter, there might be a few extra adds that have appeared, this will trigger it (at least it did for me).

If you have access to Test Realm or debugging tools, please try Festergut and Rotface in different orders as I have described in my previous post.
There is indeed no problem with the encounter itself, the problem is that there is no encounter at all, sometimes.

P.S.
your suggested work-around of entering re-entering and difficulty manipulation did not work for me.

On my way to test it. I re-enter 10 man, then go back to 25 man. Now, the teleport does not work anymore. Adds are gone. I enter Lord Marrowgar's room and see this:






I go to 25 HC. Transporter didn't reset here.

I walk up to Professor's room and see him. He's attackable, like you said.



So, looks like that fixes it for 25 Heroic. However, 25 Normal seems to be very bugged for me now. Even after killing Professor on 25 Heroic and swapping back to 10 Normal, entered, left, swapped to 25 Normal, entered again. Still bugged.
