Little late to the party but I don't get out much.

Right click the start button and select "Command Prompt (Admin)

In the command window, type "ipconfig /flushdns" and hit enter

Close the window

open start and type: "Network and sharing" Click on "Network & Sharing Center"

click on your network connection link to the right of "Connections"

Click Properties

Select internet protocol version 4(tcp/ipv4)

Click on properties

select use the following DNS server addresses:

In first box, type 8.8.8.8 & in the second, type 8.8.4.4

Click "OK"

close the windows and reboot your machine.

What this does is change your DNS settings to Google's public servers. It is ridiculous of the video to state that it will 100% solve your lag or ping but if your issues are cuased by your current DNS servers being slow, this can resolve the issue.
