PvP solo queue ?

We've been thinking of the possibility to implement PvP solo queue for arenas. Currently it's only an idea, we'd like to hear feedback from players. Should we spend time implementing such option? (it would probably be through an NPC like arena spectate: you click on it, join queue / leave queue and/or commands, ex: .soloqueue join, etc)
Would players want to play arenas not knowing who will they play with?

I believe that this would be a good thing for 3v3 with a 2v2 rating requirement. 2v2 are a lot of arenas but in order to promote 3v3 this would be awesome.
Must make sure that no greenies join the q and the problem is solved.

It should encourage 3v3 / 5v5 but enough so it won't discourage 2v2 teams and still be able to promote itself with some kind of reward for doing it. This should provide some conquest (less than 2v2 party queue, even 3v3 / 5v5 party queue).

Like Madau said, a minimum ilvl should be required to queue.

Well, as for reasons to implement

1. It will give casuals, and not only them, but PvE heroes as well, a way to experience another part of this game.
   
2. You can just solo-queue for a quick game before going to shower/leaving, etc. It's fun, fast and easy to do. Keeps people connected to the game, giving them constant things to spend time on.
   
3. Some players might be very attracted to this. They will see what combo they perform best in and might actually search for players to create and actual team, boosting the popularity of the actual 3v3 ladder

and there should also be lots of conditions like

• No double-same-spec in the same team
  
• Teams should be formed of two DPS & 1 healer
  
• Minimum item level to join? Should be a decent number, not fully geared.
  
• Deserter if you don't join, if you leave, etc.

I don't see why this shouldn't be a thing, but it should only apply to the less popular brackets: 3v3 and 5v5.

The thing with ilvl is that pve players with low gear for pve (510 for example) could join. Would be great to set 1650 rating at 2v2 as a requirement to solo join 3v3 or 5v5 brackets.
Would be great if a party of 2 can join 3v3 as most 2v2 teams tend to find pretty hard a third person, so keep that in mind.

Yes,implement it.Why and how?

-Make it for 3v3 only,you can put the rating @5v5 since it's not viable bracket and noone receives nothing at all for even joining some 5s.You can add 2v2 skirmishes,so people will queue alone if they're bored and want to play some arenas.
How?
-Make it Solo Queue + Duo Queue = Join for 3v3 alone or Duo Queue with 2nd player.You can either make it to face only players that are queued for soloq when you are queued solo queued or make it to face real 3v3 teams when you're queued with 2nd player (Duo Queued).

Briefly said:

You que alone for 3v3 - you face other players that are also queued alone.
You que with 2nd player(duo) you face either other duo teams or real 3v3 teams.

Since 3v3 isn't that populated you can make it for certain amount of time after the release this way:

No matter if you're solo queued or duo queued you face other players that are solo queued,other Duo queued teams and real 3v3 teams.

I would like to mention that DuO queues should randomly find a 3rd person that is solo queued.

The npc should have two options:

Que as Solo.
Que as Duo.

At the end of the season you give rewards based on rating.You can add as rewards titles that are not available(this is the easiest,a list can be made without a problem)plus something else based on your own decision.

Pros of this feature is that you will make people experience the 3v3 bracket and actually practice how to play it since it's literally not the same as 2v2.
You will make 3v3 more viable since 3v3 teams queued will face DuO Queued players or Solo Queued players(based on your decision of how to make it).
People will leave Elwynn Forest/Durotar more often and actually do something useful.
It's something new in the server and it will attract other players to join,in addition to being the best MoP server we will now have something unique.
People will fight for something serious and in addition to that they will receive rewards in the end.

Cons: People really get pissed off when they get teamed up with random people that doesn't have a lot of experience,which might lead to a loss(It's not really something that brings the server down)
I don't really think of some examples which makes this feature a bad decision to make.

That's the point of making it 2x Dps / Healer ,perhaps M/C/H,but when things go a bit more serious with the time.

Yes, but this should be solo que vs solo que, not solo que vs duo que or solo ques vs a trio que as a " smart" guy above said, its not fun to get a match vs a serious 3s team, you been qued with randoms and get completely smashed.
In other words, this would be a separated bracket.

Ok, since i played alot on at @soloq i want to add something. Make it connected to 3s rate and put it in stead of 5s bracket.
put some titles as a reward. Such as arena master/battlemaster/ some prety hard to obtain(delete the current ones bc are donated as far as i know).
Melee healer caster is ballanced if you decide not to connect soloq with 3s. And make it possible to duoq

I totally agree with this idea. As a player who spends most time doing pve, given this option will let arenas be more "attractive" rather than finding players to queue with. Its easy and fun.

Another idea is to do the same as Blizzard does, to make this even more attractive. Some weekends will be bonus skirmishes weekends. Honor gained will be slightly increased for a couple of days or a quest will be added to win 10/10 skirmishes: http://www.wowhead.com/event=561/arena-skirmish-bonus-event

On retail you can queue skirmishes as a party and solo. This im not so sure about. Altough people wanting to practise for rated arenas can do so without it affecting their rating.
Still this idea is great and can only be positive for everyone, casuals and pros.

I just gave examples,the best decision still is to connect Duo Queue with rated 3v3.

p.s. I doubt adding only skirmish without rating will keep this feature alive,so the best way is to add rating @5s bracket.
