WoW Freakz spell link: auto attack and devastator talent

Bug description: when a protection warrior doesn't have a weapon equipped in the primary spot, I think the swing timer goes crazy and the devastator talent and auto attack does too much damage or happens to many times. edit: after more testing, I found out how to replicate it : [list=]have the prot. artifact weapon equipped, start to DPS something, use a macro to unequip primary slot[list]

Hello. I did run a few tests on this and I will post my findings here:

Case №1 - Devastator talent vs Raider's Training Dummy (weapon equipped) - I did 10 hits, doing a total of 2,78 million damage to the dummy. My attack speed is 2.23 due to the weapon equipped. You can also see that auto attack damage for the same number of hits is less than half the amount dealt by Devastator (1,15 million). According to the formula of Devastator, it deals 278% of weapon damage, calculating it with my average weapon damage, which is 83,344, multiplied by 278 and then divided by 100 (because of the percentage), resulting in 234,000 average damage per hit dealt by Devastator (approximately). According to my recount the average hits by the spell are 277k, but then we have critical hits and attack power coming into play.

Case №2 - Devastator talent vs Raider's Training Dummy (no weapon equipped) - I did 10 hits, doing a total of 837k damage to the dummy. My attack speed is 1.71 with no weapon equipped. You can also see that auto attack damage for the same number of hits is again less than half the amount dealt by Devastator (268k). Doing the same calculations as above, but this time my average damage being 30,493, multiplied by 278 and then divided by 100, results in an average damage of 84,770, which is almost the same amount as the one shown in the recount (83,7k).

I can conclude that the talent works fine both with and without a weapon equipped. The damage done by the talent, and the frequency of the procs is pretty normal, based on the gear I have, and it doesn't seem "crazy" to me. I have not tested it in a RBG however, with stats being reduced based on your ilvl, but I would assume that there won't be much of a difference.

after more testing, I was not able to recreate on a dummy or even while dueling in order hall. so I tried to get some screenshots while in a bg.
here are some of the devastator reaching over 1 or 2 million. (maybe crazy was the wrong word, sorry.)

I used equipment set manager to switch to set that I normally use for fury. since the set is saved with the fury weapon it unequips just the main one-hander(the shield is still equipped).
First, I'd start attacking someone then switched.

First of all I think that it is rather strange that you are able to unequip just the main-hand from your artifact weapon, highly unusual. Second, why would you change your sets from Protection to Fury, and why would that unequip your main-hand weapon only? And that data from the recounts that are over 2 million, how much hits is that? I'm guessing that for some reason the equipment manager bugs your weapons so that you remain with an off-hand only.

UPDATE: I did a test on Equipment Manager regarding the missing main-hand weapon and it turns out that if you try to equip a weapon, which you cannot, in the main-hand slot, while in Protection spec, it will make your main-hand weapon disappear, and you will not be able to use main-hand based abilities. This is rather odd, but even like that I did some few hits and the damage done by Devastator was pretty normal.

Pretty obvious to point out that without the weapon you can't use certain abilities. Also as Stimulation already mentioned devastator doesnt seem to be broken
