What stops you from adding Rated battlegrounds?

Rbgs, and 3v3 are just obsolete in this server, because there hasn't been a major change or fix for pvp since about 1 year or 2 years? The latest fix in pvp was adding alterac valley (and it doesn't even work properly, people just crash when the boss dies) and it has some serious fps troubles (it might just be my pc)

So people who are joining this server (if there are) are pve fans, while the pvp here is just getting worse.

Well how do you expect more players to come if there is no new content. Every time i log arena spectate is full of 1500-1900 rating teams, u can see how 2s/3s ladder is not changing, simply because PVP is dead. My guild mates quited just because there is nothing to do, duels got boring, playing arenas on same expansion for 2 years already became boring too, bgs are almost over pure stomp, we can't invade orgrimmar etc because of enraged guards so yeah, i think rated bgs would bring lots of high rated plays back to server.

Everything you said is true. But I still think MoP will brink more good to this server than RBGs.
And why are guards in cities enraged? I heard it lags the server or something. I think you should fix that as well. I personally miss pvp raids A LOT.

Yeah, there is huge lag when ally attacks horde or the other way around. That's why guards are enraged.

I played to 1.6k rbg rating back then, but you're kinda right I only managed to get people to play them like once a week. Even so, it would be cool to be able to play rbgs.
