Pet Battles work. But I did notice that when I caged a pet (only certain ones can be caged I guess), it is forever stuck in its "Pet Cage" and can't be summoned or used further.

Yes, I've noticed this as well. seems like anywhere you go, it's as if you have no armor.
Definitely noticed after rolling w/ plate armor. Dying way too easily
