FAQ


Q:OMG I CANT CONNECT!? WHATS WRONG WITH SERVER?

A: Server is experiencing DDoS attacks, players out of romania will face problems connecting because of this. The only thing you can do is be patient and wait.

Q: OMG IT SAYS I'M ONLINE WHAI!?

A: This usually happens whenever you're character DC's and the server does not reboot. The reason for this is because you are not connected however you are lagging so much that your character remains in the server as online. The server simply does not update nor register you as being offline.

Q: HOW LONG WILL THE PROBLEM LAST!?!?

A: It is unknown as for now, but please stick to this post for future questions and i will update questions onto the original post with answers and in the mean time please be patient.

Q: If it is a real DDoS attack, then how come Romanian players are still able to connect?
A: Because the host at which Shocker pays for the server blocks all traffic that comes outside of Romania to prevent the attack. Therefore IPs from outside of Romania will automatically lose connection and get you disconnected once another attack starts.

Q: Why don't you just block the IP that is attacking you?
A: DDoS attacks aren't made from one single IP adress. They are either made by a big network of peopel who are all risking to end up in jail and personally attacking the server together, or a bot network, which is a lot of computers taken over by a virus, attacking altogether.
Making out 2000 or more IP adresses without banning innocent people is quite hard.

Q: So would I be able to play with a Romanian proxy?
A: WoW itself doesn't support proxies, however if you find yourself a working version of "Proxifier" and a Romanian proxy, you should be able to connect. Please don't expect any pings below 3000ms unless you are hosting the proxy for yourself.

The only Cure to the problem is to get it fixed. Which I am sure they are working on. But if it goes much longer, these guys are going to lose a lot of players and it's all because of some sorry *** loser with a hate for a server.

FYI: If yo want to start a guy on Genisis or the other server.. from what I can see you can transfer to Exodus once the problem is fixed.
IDK figured it would help some people out looking for a WoW fix.

Voting one time every 12 hours, it's not like you have to spam the click. Also, giving your the opportunity to freely transfer to genesis/evolution will just make the flooders flood those servers too, noone wins.

Getting back to the flood, anyone who says this is not a flood, has absolutely no idea what he is talking. We are not waiting for the flood to stop, we are introducing new systems to PREVENT the flood, so even he/she tries to flood us again, IT WILL NOT WORK.

Why didn't we prepare before? We didn't experience such HUGE and LONG (3 days OMFG) flood before.

I could log in on Exodus after i did a total net restart
so try it out hopefully it will work for you too.

Well not sure if this helps, but atm I am able to get in with no problems.

I am a USA player and the time here is 5:30am EDT.

So if this is a US based attack, then it seems they may be asleep.
