So this question is about the bug that happens to your raid lockouts.

I remember a couple of weeks ago - people got banned because apparently they were able to do Baradin Hold - when their SAVES DISAPPEARED MAGICALLY.

I also have the same problem on some of my characters.

I have SEVERAL active characters which I play regularly - mainly to produce more activity for myself / pass the time; and of course to help out my guildmates who are looking for a few more raids.

The problem is that I DO NOT remember ALL the raids I have done - and FOR WHICH character.

What happens if I end up making or joining a raid that I don't have a CD for, only to find out later that the CD was bugged?

Should I make a note / write on a piece of paper what raids I did, and for which character?

Do I get banned if I forgot whether I was saved already or not?

I also noticed that the bug might happen in Dragon Soul saves, not just Baradin Hold.
It's either that, or I truly have not done a DS 10N on my 6th alt yet... which, like I said... I cannot 100% remember.

I know myself, and other players, would appreciate an answer from the staff regarding this issue.

I don't think anyone of us wants to be banned, or considered an "exploiter" - just because we ended up being "forgetful".

Cheers~

I believe you just don't remember correctly, this should not happen under any circumstances, only if you find some kind of exploit and you clear lockouts by doing something.
Those people getting banned then, was something else.

I remember I was told by a guild officer that those who got banned did so because they were already saved in Baradin Hold but did the raid again - when their cds disappeared (magically).

Ok look, to give you an example - I know I did Baradin Hold on -ALL- of my active characters. That's 10/25 man.
I know I also did Dragon Soul 10/25 normal on ALL of them.

Yet now, when I do check, one of my tanks seems to be missing his BH 10 and DS 10 saves.
One of my healers is also missing a DS 10N.
One of my DPS is missing a BH 10N.

And the big problem is - I remember I have DONE them.
I am 100% CERTAIN and SURE that I am already saved for these raids - but now the CDs are gone.

I'm NOT trying to re-do those raids now.

But what if in the future, I don't remember which character was saved, and I ended up raiding again on it for the same mode?

Instant-Ban?

Is there any other way to find out the saves besides the .cd command?

And yeah - what advice can you give me? Since I am planning raids for our guild on some days, and I the "save bug" is confusing me.

There is one alternative that is fail-safe.
Step 1: Run notepad.exe
Step 2: Write down every raid you've done on each of your characters (writing down the date might be more helpful)
Step 3: Stash that file on some place safe and keep it around for as long as you need.

^ Haha, that's just a bit backward-minded and slightly unnecessary...

Anyway...

I just want to clear the air once and for all...

If a player makes/joins a raid that he is ALREADY SAVED FOR
- and HIS SAVE DISAPPEARED
- but he has NO IDEA / FORGOTTEN he already had a cooldown for it (maybe he was drunk, or only playing casually, or had multiple characters, etc)
- he simply though it was ok for him to raid so that's what he did

DO YOU CONSIDER THIS A BANNABLE OFFENSE? Just a yes or no.

Cheers!

It's not really bannable if you don't know how you reset your cd, but we cannot differentiate people who exploit of those who don't, so let's say it's bannable.
But, I repeat, any miraculous disappearence of CDs shouldn't take place, I know why those people were banned, I won't tell you, but that won't be repeated.

Well just to give you my own experience - I mentioned earlier I knew 100% that one of my healers was already saved for DS 10N.

I remember I was dualboxing - one tank, one healer - in order to get valor points on both of them.
I knew 100% I used that character for that difficulty mode (I think it was last Sunday).

When I checked .cd today - the save was gone.

I don't know how it happened, but it just did.
=============

ABOUT MY PVE ACTIVITY:

I regularly do raids for my guildmates, and I participate in around two dozen raids each lockout period.

Basically Raster, what I'm concerned is that - one day, I'll end up doing a raid, and totally forget I was already saved for it and the CD was gone.

Then I'd get banned simply for "forgetting"...

That's something I don't want to happen to me, or anyone.
