Alterac Valley lag spikes

Hey,

The first couple days after release of this battleground (atleast i think it was recently released since i haven't queued into any of them and all sudden atleast 3 out of 5 are AV) i had no problems at all with frame drops are anything.
But all sudden, yesterday i joined an AV on my horde and i had like 2 fps, which continued the entire bg (even when not engaging any large scaled battles). I have this problem aswell when joining raids through raid finder and not being near the raid or raid members. I tried everything already (clear cache, disable addons, macro's on forums), but nothing is working.

Any idea what is the reason of this (imo) MAJOR problem?

Well I joined a few AVs as well and I didn't had any crucial FPS drops, nothing like 2 fps. There is however some... idk how to describe it rly, it's like constant minor lag spikes with a very little time in between them.
It's definitely not as before where u had no more than 2 FPS all the time, at least I didn't had such drop, the guy above claims he had thou so I guess u have more work to do on that one.

Sometimes my wow completly freezes and i end up getting a wow-error, so its defenitly server related

It's the same problem that persists since 4.0.6's AV, and the "new" patches raid FPS problems.
Back on 4.0.6, whenever I joined AV, I would get almost instant 0 FPS, and 1 frame every ~5 minutes after that (yes, crap PC), but even if I had problems in other BGs, they weren't that serious.

This problem is def not because i have a bad pc, i can run wow in ultra settings in any other bg and in major cities, but the moment i enter a raid through raid finder or AV i just get lag spikes, wow errors etc..

Well you're right.
This is a server side issue and it happens when you're grouped with many players and they spread. It's like that since 4.3 update, and I don't think the staff knows how to fix this.

It's in romanian but long story short: whenever you are grouped with a lot of players and you're far away from them, you would get 0 FPS. I made a fix which would now cause only temporary & very short spikes, no more constant spikes. This is the best fix because those spikes are caused by party members updates (hp, mana, position, dead alive, etc)
I can't disable them, just make those updates much less frequent (instead of constant I made them to be once each 10s for each party member)

thats nice to hear, but is there no permanent solution to this problem? or is this still being figured out?

I'm still getting fps drops every 3 seconds. I don't hate av but it's unplayable at the moment. How about just disabling it?
