Top DPS classes (PVE)

Hey guys, what is your opinion about the top DPS classes at the moment?

Hello, AndrewP!
Right now my personal top list will look like: warlock, warrior, hunter and then mage/enhancement/boomkin falling slightly behind.

Anyway Throne of Thunder is right around the corner which will drastically change how the dps meters look like due to the fact we are playing with 5.4.8 spells & talents (mechanics) and with 5.0 gears. Every class scales differently with item level and there are many classes that shine at low item levels and are average at high ilvl.

If you want to top the charts pick the class you like the most, thus so you will play it to the best.
You could always go warlock tho, they were good for the full duration of MOP

I already picked the monk windwalker, and I very disappointed. I deal like 80-90k and rarely 100k with it. Now I'm trying to find something else...

Check youtube, blizz forums in the 5.4 period, Warlocks were OP as hell for all of MoP, go warlock.

+1 warlock, had a good friend of mine who used to be a top PVE player in MOP, had all the classes, and he told me that his warlock was by far the best dps. Dude was in the second best pve guild of his server, so i trust him.

Why are you all taking blizzard as an example? as far as i remember enhancement shaman was never top dps on cataclysm yet on freakz they were one of the best

My advise is pick what your heart want to play and go with it don't look at dps meters

Basing choices on sims is a bad decision even@retail and more-so here. The server has the balance of a different patch with the bonuses and ilvl from a completely different one and there will always be some derp spell modifiers/interactions in the core that make a spec better. Best to wait and see or roll w/e seems more fun

Im gonna say it again , Enhancement /Warrior / Rogue / Mage / OR WARLOCK if you have guild which will actually accept that your dps will be crap and scales alot more with gear.

As I said before, I created a monk (because it was fun and I still like it), and after some time when I saw that its dps really sucks, I took an eight months pause from the game. Right now I would choose something for pve, because I'm stuck with the pvp. If I would roll of warlock, which spec should I choose?

Warlock PvP - Affliction, you team up with a good healer and steamroll.

If you read his post you would have noticed he is looking for a pve spec .

Have destro / affli , and switch according to bosses , depends on your current gear aswell.
