Balance Question: Starsurge during Celestial Alignment

Since Starsurge is Spellstorm dmg - both Arcane and Nature school - should it benefit from both eclipses during CA? Couldn't find an answer anywhere. Anyone who played Balance on retail during MoP that can confirm/deny this?

Yes, it does benefit from both. Im not sure if this works properly here though

Thanks, pretty sure it doesn't. Need to get proper proof though in order to get it fixed.

sorry im late. As daniela45 said above, Starsurge should benefit from both, lunar and solar eclipse. Now i dont know if it works properly. Can you get a proof somehow and report it?

Hi,

Sorry for grave digging.
I'm a freak, hate to learn to play a bugged class so i'm a bit scanning the whole thing. Found this topic, have the exact same question. I've scoured google for hours and found nothing, if i'm supposed to get a +82% damage increase instead of 41% (my current mastery scaling in the screen below) for Starsurge, i should then deal 90k Starsurge damage instead of 70k, right ?



Legend:
Green : During no eclipse
Orange : During an eclipse
Blue : During Celestial Alignment

edit: i'm making a bug report, hope stating the obviousness of the tooltip will be enough.

Heya,
i was wrong there, Starsurge is a spellstorm which means it does benefit from both eclipses but only one at a time. That means, during CA it behaves like only one eclipse is active.
