it's a general issue with pets, not only for pvp, but for any other type of enemy. it only happens if you do not hit your enemy, but let your pets kill it. I sense that in pvp it has something to do with the player not hitting the adversary for a while so that they aren't really in combat with it anymore, but their pet is, so when the pet kills them they no longer get the killing blow since the pet is not seen as the master's ability or something like that

happens with retribution guardian of ancient kings...

i remember a day i was grinding rep with retri pala, and every time my guardian killed someone i gained no rep/loot.

and i am sure this problem is related to recount problems with temporary pets

It is not about pet landing the killing blow it's about who hit the mob first, you or the pet, if the pet hit it first you get no loot and stuff

If the master hits the target at any time while the pet fights, they will claim ownership of the kill. It only happens if the pet and ONLY the pet kills the target, alone, without any assistance from the master.
