Data folder won't uncheck Read-only

I've been looking for a solution all over the net but couldn't find anything. I've tried restarting my computer and making myself the only admin. Disabling and enabling inheritance. I don't know how to disable read-only because windows doesn't keep my setting.

He is saying that when he tries to uncheck the Data folder from Read Only , it will check back in when he right click on it again.

Yes, my issue is as taz140789 describes. My computer isn't unchecking the Read-only attribute of the data folder

Same here, I uncheck before entering the game ,but always checks himself after that.

I understand that, what I meant was: why do you care? What's your actual problem with the readonly data folder?

Because the game won't launch at all. I've looked through your post regarding the Legion client and the issue I was having falls under the CAS error that can be solved by unchecking the Read-only attribute of the Data folder.

I put the new launcher into the folder and when pressed the first time I got the CAS error so I did the uncheck solution but that didn't work. I tried some of the other stuff like downloading the new config, deleting the 64bit versions of launcher, just using the 32bit version of launcher but even then it still wouldn't work. I checked the read-only attribute of the data folder and it was still checked. I unchecked a few times but still it would revert the changes I made. Pressing the launcher now, no CAS error occurs but what happens is that the game is seen in my task manager as a background process.
