at the end that number is irrelevant because most, if not all of endgame content is cross faction, the only thing afaik limited by faction are guilds

Global chat is faction restricted aswell, gives you less people to talk to / less notifcations about upcoming dungeon and raid runs when playing as Alliance (You can see Horde groups in Premade Group Finder of course, but you wouldn't know about their existence in global chat)
