Would it be possible to, somehow, penalize the donator gear in Battlegrounds? Bg's are totally broken because of donators; i'm not talking about a little "tip in the scales", i'm talking about donator healers killing 6 dps without even getting to 80% health.

I can maybe get it in pve, since they are competing "against the computer", but in pvp it's in direct prejudice of other players.

nobody will donate then
people are donating not because they like the server, they just want to kill everyone

There is scaling implemented in BGs, but if you expect to kill 455 ilvl people, with bunch of 350 ilvl, then you don't realize that BFA gear discrepancy is HUGE. Decently geared people are not complaining at all, only those guys who expect to win it all with minimum effort.

Lol, no disrespect, but what an absurd answer.. I'm decently geared (425), and i've seen a lot of times no less than 6 guys "decently geared" not being able to even get a donator tank to 70% HP. BG has nothing to do with "doing random pvp", that's what arena is for, bg has objectives. If you have a donator tank with +1m HP just spamming aoe at a flag base, or carrying a flag/orb with 3/4 of the other team not being able to make a scratch on him, the game becomes just absurd.

You clearly have no idea on what players think, cause a looooot of people think that the server is every day more p2w. Countless bgs end up with people just waiting dead for the bg to finish cause there is no chance to kill the donators.

It's funny how you scale up normal people, penalizing the guys who, literally, worked hard for their gear, but not a single gear reduction to the dudes who coughed up a couple bucks xD.

I think you don’t understand how private servers are working.

1. Unlike Blizzard, Without donors any private server cannot function because there are costs in the middle such as devs and hosting services.
2. You are no way decently geared. If you expect winning with 20-30 illvl difference, then you definitely don’t have knowledge of the game. Decently geared on 8.2 is around 435-440 ilvl (which can be farmed easily with the newly adjusted conquest gear prices and rate upgrades tuned down.
3. Scaling is here to help tighten up the ilvl gap, but this time you shouldn’t expect to oneshot with low ilvl, just how it was when the first implementation of it was live.

Amnezx, i'm not sure if you are not reading a single word i'm writing, because you are just coming up with one strawman fallacy after another.

When did i say i wanna oneshot a 455 player? When did i say i should, on the average, win vs a 455 player? I'm saying half a BG team not able to even get a donator to half his HP is stupid, absurd, and clearly unbalancing the game.

And your argument, btw, LITERALLY agrees with with i'm saying! If the performance/ilvl curve, in fact, is exponential, then MORE the reason to scale the 455 players down!

Edit: And yeah, i know what a private server is, i've been GM in other online games, but i think you don't get what's the difference between "paying" on a private server and a "pay to win" (P2W) server.

We just lived another one of those wonderful moments when 5 geared plates couldn't kill a donor rogue; you can't even imagine the level of "happiness" of the players.

A custom pvp map where you cannot use your gear, only temporary gear from a vendor, would level the ground and i think it would be very popular
