Currently, destro is the "god spec" for warlocks since we don't have enough haste for affliction to be better 99% of the time, but that's about to change in ToT once we get to our haste breakpoints easier...
Still with enough mastery and crit stacking... 2 mil. chaos bolts in burst

Yea, I love destruction more than any specialisation but I will try Affliction too @ ToT.

You can go affliction at this moment too but you need BiS gear to achive the haste required for a good dps.

Why is your DPS so high? Are you using some kind of...cheats ? Which guide should I read, in order to play this spec well ?

Haha, my brother Lockher! Nice to see you here. I can't say my DPS is high, let's just say it's above average I know you're trolling, but reading just a guide is not enough and you know that, you must exercise in order to obtain a full potential of your class / specialisation.

Ok but in the end, what spec is better for lock from first to third is it Destruction>Affliction>Demonology?

it depends on what fight u are doing...also the what stats your gear has like ToT gear is not really destruction viable but can be done ultimately its ur choice.

What should i play at Councils? Affliction for the Metters on Destro for the burst?

Hi,

If you have a decent gear, I recommend you Affliction. It's more viable and it does a lot of damage. The burst doesn't matter. You should help your raid mates not focus on recount. Affliction has a good damage, and you do this damage overall, not in the begining of the fight.

Overall, you should use Affliction for this encounter.

Affli has the highest burst atm if you know how to snapshot sure some classes are better 10 seconds in the encounter but after that affliction should run over them with same gear and not bis etc

Hi,

I was wondering if http://www.wowhead.com/item=95814 is good on my Destrolock.

Thing is :
-I don't want to burn 3 stack of backdraft while tracking the proc to get a monstrous CB.
-Crit snapshot thingy (need détails on that) doens't seem to work, if i get it, if i use Immolate during the proc the DOT will have 100% crit ticks until it expires or is refreshed without the trinket proc.
-Current trinket are : Jade Magistrate figure equipped and Relic of Yu lon in bag.

This lock is an alt, i don't really plan on building another gear to spec Affliction.

That trinket is viable just on affliction and demo,but at the moment the crit snapshot works just for chaos bolt.Breath of the hydra and wushoolay are better.

I'd like to ask if 80-83k dps as a destro warlock with 521 ilevel is normal? I can't seem to get any higher, I do have wushoolay's trinky, which is BiS, and I might need to replace the shado-pan trinky, which is bad for destro. My dps is somehow the same on affliction. Any serious ideas?

You are deffinetly doing something wrong when it comes to your rotation. There is no way you keep such a low stable dps as both destro/affliction.
Please refer to some of our guides/tutorials and see whats wrong. I personally never have issues to uphold a 140k+ DPS with an ilvl of ~525.
PS: Wushoolay's deffinetly not BiS. Cha-Ye & Breath of the Hydra are by far the best trinkets for Destro. Both Wusho & Lei-Shen's trink needs to be snapshotted, allowing you to cast 1-2 extremely overpowered chaosbolts, while I get the chance to cast 4-5 CBs under the affect of Breath + Cha-Ye. Mix that with Dark Soul > profit.

Actually wushoolay is better tahn cha ye . In the opener you get off 2 chaos bolts and i usually get them at 8-9 stacks of wushoolay. Si Breath and wushoolay i consider them bis since lei shen trinket was nerfed heavily vs warlocks.
About your dps go watch a destruction guide from Sparkuggz, he has on his channel a destruction warlock guide for 5.3 but its helpful , a guide how to do a good opener and destruction workshop.

Heh, how can I be wrong when it comes to Destro rotation? o.O I just apply curse of elements if no one else can do it, pop dark soul, the two charges of conflag, immolate, and spam incinerate until I have 3.5 emberbits and then Chaos bolt. =/ I'll also cast it earlier if I get a Wush trinket proc. This is single target rotation I'm talking about, with only my own buffs, dark intent, mastery food buff and grimoire of sacrifice buff. o.O

Oh, and unlike more "motivated" players, I don't have the legendary meta gem. Or any other donor gear. Or even any set piece. -.- Is there any trinket I could use to replace the shado-pan assault one in the meantime that's "easily" accessible? =/

Only in the opener due to heavy haste(Bloodlust/metagem/berserking) and on 3 or more targets maintained.

even if u arent a donor you can pull over 140-170k dps on single target also get reforgelite and maybe letting an addon calculate for reforges might help you.

Reforge lite doesn't work very well. It reforges over 15% hit then it focuses on haste/crit evenif you are reforgin for destro.

I just used it for pvp, from nowhere it got me 300 more mastery so for me it's working more than ok :d. Dunno about pve.

It works perfectly for both my pally and lock, are you sure you have the 1.38 version ?

It works fine and technically has no problem focusing on mastery if it is the stat prio u are setting.
