WoW Freakz spell link: couldnt find
Bug description: pets do parry and dodge even if u are expertise and hit capped
Proof:
Quote:
Hunter pets inherit expertise as half expertise and half hit rating. Thus if a hunter has 2% expertise, the pet will get 1% expertise and 1% hit. They inherit hit in exactly the same way. Thus if a hunter is both hit capped and expertise capped, their pets will be hit capped and (dodge) expertise capped.

warlock guardians and so on

EDIT: tested only for warlocks

The "proofs" don't make any sense, first one is saying pets inherit half hit chance:
Quote:
Hunter pets inherit expertise as half expertise and half hit rating. Thus if a hunter has 2% expertise, the pet will get 1% expertise and 1% hit. They inherit hit in exactly the same way. Thus if a hunter is both hit capped and expertise capped, their pets will be hit capped and (dodge) expertise capped.

second says pet has full hit/expertise if player has full hit:
Quote:
The scaling formulas for hit are not yet available, however the patch 3.2.0 notes state that "If a player is at their appropriate spell hit chance or hit chance maximum, their pet will be at the maximum for spell hit chance, hit chance, and expertise. If they are below the maximum, their pet will be proportionately below those maximums.".[1]

It's like this:
Spell hit cap =15%
Melee hit cap =7.5%
Expertise cap =7.5%

Pets use their melee attacks so in order for them to not parry/dodge they need expertise so that was the guy saying if you are hit capped with both exp and hit your pet shouldnt miss. The 2nd one was from wowpedia

Spell hit Spell hit, physical hit, expertise, being capped will cap your minion for all three stats, see below for details

Again, totally unrelated, the first quote is for hunter pets and it says a totally different mechanic than warlock pets mentioned by you

Well even with expertise and hit cap pet still dodges/parries melee attacks.

We still don't have accurate info, what Seyrox posted is confusing and partially unrelated

I know i can't explain them proparly, just make that if you are hit capped 15% you are parry, hit and spell for pet ... idk for warlock minions its pretty accurate since it is taken from wowpedia but for hunters .. pass

Quote:
•Pets fully inherit your hit/exp ratings and combine them to get their ratings. This means if you have 15% hit and 0% exp (warlocks), a melee pet will still be hit/exp capped.

Well I found some info that only way to prevent pet to get parry/dodge is when it attacks from behind which for hunters happens only once if I use blink strikes because first attack ports pet behind. I found that
Quote:
Our pet attacks can be parried (but not Kill Command). However, enemies can only parry attacks that come from the front. By default hunter pets attack from behind as long as they don’t have aggro. Thus parry is not a concern for raiding.

http://www.warcrafthuntersunion.com/2012/08/hunter-expertise-rating-expertise-cap-guide/

However thats for hunter but I am pretty sure that it is about warlocks aswell, except warlocks need 15% hit instead of 7,5 hit and 7,5 exp in order to not get parried/dodged

What I found about warlocks:

Quote:
Again from Frostheim - "Also it's worth noting that pets inherit hit and expertise 50/50. So 1% hit gives your pet 0.5% hit and 0.5% expertise. Thus hunter who is hit and expertise capped will have a pet who is both, and a warlock/mage who is hit capped at 15% hit will have a pet that is melee hit capped and (dodge) expertise capped."

Fixed for warlock pets, they now inherit spell hit chance from owner as expertise (for dodge / parry)
