25 Normal/Heroic raid FPS-lag bug

First of all, merry christmas everybody!

I would like to know if it's a common recent issue that the game became a lot more laggy and choppy during 25men instances.

For example:

- Game run pretty well, around 60/70fps around SW and all over Azeroth;
- I join a 25m raid and the game go sometimes choppy and fps drop, but still playable;
- Inside instance, it's even more choppy and laggy but again, still somehow playable;
- Immediately after boss pull, fps drop to 1-2fps and it became impossible to play (imagine an healer at 1fps);

Is it only me having such issue or it's a serverwide problem?

Please let me know because I'm about to throw my PC out of the window.

It's not from your pc, it's a well known bug that causes lag spikes .... Server staff know the issue but they don't know how to fix it...

As far as I am concerned its about boss scripts using way too much triggers which cause fps lags.

Whatever it is, it's not impossible, but it's very hard to play with it, especially when that 0.5 sec FPS 'lag' can mean life or death (in-game (or IRL if this was SAO)).

Exactly. Really sad that nobody know how to "fix" this kind of issue.

Glad I stumbled on this. I thought I was the only one cause, quite frankly, my computer blows.

Same issues, tried everything from disabling addons, tweaking graphics to downloading 3-4 different 4.3 torrents - but nothing worked. At the moment the 11th player joins a 25man raid it's pretty much over...

Now I just PvP and complain with hopes that someone grabs a Red Bull and fixes it

Hehe, today i went to a Alterac Valley bg, as soon as it got full (40-40) my screen freezed for 20 secs, so i had to leave inmediately, and im sure it happened to many people, cause a lot of them left too.

Only 20 seconds? The moment AV starts, I have a screen freeze. And from then on, 1 (yes, ONE) frame every 5 minutes until the fight is over, then i have to wait for another 3-5 minutes to be able to click on the "Leave Battleground" button.

I have same issues, fps lag, always drop in raid. However I cant remember how many of such topics has been created, just for GMs to reply to seek for the cause on our side. Kinda lame if you ask me, when you think about it, and play on other server, without such issues.

Can't say it's not true. I've been on another unnamed Cata server for a while, leveled one char there. While leveling in Vashj'ir (bunch of colorful details and such crap), I've had my view distance on Fair, and not Low as usual and some other texture/graphics options on higher than usual and had absolutely no FPS drops as I had on Freakz.

That pretty much means that every 25m raid and AV simply can't be done.

I'm "happy" to know it's not my pc issue, but at the same time I'm kinda sad because the server itself is very good and it does just fail on that thing.

I'm basically doing only 10m raid, even FL trash (I'm gearing an Horde char) became fps-low.

I don't know if this could help, but i noticed fps drop in 2 situation:

- when someone grouped is far away from you (outside instance or just somewhere in azeroth)
- when a boss fight start (maybe it's a script issue)

Are you experiencing this "bug" in one or both of those situations?

Well, what i meant is that it freezed 20 seconds, then it "updated" then it freezed again. But yeah yours is definetely worse.

Tho i don't understand how there are some people who are able to do 25m raids and AV...
