During the third war, while Archimonde was leading the assasult of the Burning Legion on the world tree, Varimathras and his two brothers, Detheroc and Balnazzar, were put in charge of the undead forces in Lordaeron.Several months passed after Archimonde's departure and subsequent death during the Battle of Mount Hyjal, yet the three dreadlords were unaware of the events and continued their vigil over Lordaeron, maintaining their occupation of the capital city. When Arthas finnaly came from his journey to kalimdor, he bursted through the gates of Lordaeron claiming his former kingdom back from the dreadlords,even if they were left alone by the legion, the dreadlord would not give up so easly.Knowing that they would not be able to defeat the loyal army of the Lich King, in addition to the combined might of the loyal lich Kel'Thuzad and dark ranger Sylvanas, Varimathras instead appealed to Sylvanas alone in secret, revealing to her the diminishing powers of both Arthas and the Lich King and making a deal for her aid in overthrowing the weakening death knight. Thirsty for revenge for turning her into the cursed undead, Sylvanas reveled in the chance to exact her vengeance upon Arthas. After the dreadlords separated him from his forces, Sylvanas attempted to assassinate him. However, due entirely to the interference of Kel'Thuzad, he escaped her vengeance. She instead turned her eye back to the Lordaeron capital city. Arthas fled to Northrend and was no longer a threat, so the conflict was narrowed down to the forces of the dreadlords against the forces of Sylvanas, both vying for control of Lordaeron and ultimately freedom. As the Lich King's control over the Scourge continued to wane, more and more undead were becoming free-willed and loyal to Sylvanas.Once Arthas was gone,Sylvanas and her new found forces wanted to free the undead from the dreadlord's grasp.She first assaulted Varimathras' forces , defeating them; right when the banshee queen was gettin ready to strike the dreadlord down, he started begging for mercy, and vowed loyality to Sylvanas.She accepted him on her side just to use him as a tool aganist his brothers.In the end they defeated the other dreadlords, but Varimathras had to proove his loyality, so Sylvanas asked him to deal the killing blow to Detheroc and Balnazzar, which was forbidden by the nathrezim law;he had done it in the end ,and for this Sylvanas rewarded him as her advisor.
However during Wotlk in the wake of the Battle of Angrathar the Wrathgate, it is revealed that Varimathras has plotted his way into controlling a substantial part of the Forsaken faction, using them and his chief underling, Grand Apothecary Putress, to launch a surprise assault upon the combatants at the Wrathgate. This ambush resulted in the deaths of hundreds of Alliance and Horde soldiers, including Bolvar Fordragon and Dranosh Saurfang.He is eventually faced and defeated by Thrall and Sylvanas.

Aysa Cloudsinger is a Pandaren who is a Master follower of Tushui, also the leader of the Tushui Pandaren and is the one who led the them to join the Alliance, Aysa being attracted by the ideals that bind together the Alliance races.

What shelby said , but there's something to add : During the Pandaren Campaign, a goblin excavation unearthed the ancient vault, and the heart of Y'shaarj was claimed for the Horde by Malkorok .The Heart was then revived by Garrosh Hellscream, using the power of the magic pools of the Vale of Eternal Blossoms, unleashing the Sha of Pride and corrupting most of the Vale in the process. That's how the sha of pride came to ''life''.
