Here you can discuss everything and anything about the Windwalker (DPS) specc, ask for advice in both PvE and PvP.
Since the General Discussions forum became english-only, it would be ideal if you could keep this thread in english.

Anyone else lost like 25-30k DPS in the past few days? I've used to have around 220k single target burst and 130-140 steady DPS at the end of the fight but after upgrading some of the gear in the past couple of days from 487-496 to 522 my DPS decreased to 180k burst and 100k steady DPS. Anyone else experienced same stuff or it's just me?

RPPM got fixed, which means less uptime on Dancing Steel/Windsong (let's be honest now, you could always have it up). Trinkets were affected too (at least Throne ones) they seem to be proccing fine now (was terrible with Blades of Renataki and Bad Juju before).
I've noticed a slight decrease in DPS on my characters, but at least it's all working blizzlike now.

I understand that, but i still don't understand how i lost over 30k DPS even tho i upgraded like 4 pieces of my equipment.

There were trinkets who barely procc'd: namely Renataki's Soul Charm, Cha-Ye's Essence of Brilliance, Bad Juju and Breath of the Hydra. Then there were trinkets which had nearly 100% uptime, like Talisman of Bloodlust. Now all of them are working okay-ish (ofcourse you can get unlucky and get no proccs in burst). Siege trinkets work on ICD instead, so just bear with it.

Windwalkers were never amazing when it comes to single target. With tier16 they became viable due to the fact that it was really worthy having your offtank going dps while the ww goes bm for certain encountets. Also ww is quite good when it comes to fights that constanly have multiple targets (galakras, spoils, eventually siegecraft).

You'd be better off with an Mistweaver offspec atm, don't know how Brewmaster will be when bosses have 500k (10H) and 600k (25H) damage on autoattacks. Windwalker single-target isn't the best, as Ashcool said, but there is always something worse, like Assassination or Elemental (only at non-BIS) for example.

So far, as i could see it, WW monks are doing pretty decent damage in raids. After doing some ToT and Oondasta raids i was always in either top 3 or top 5, depending on how many donors are there in the raid and i am still using HoF/MV fist weapons. I can't imagine for how much will my DPS increase after getting 522 weapons from ToT.

Supposedly, the Best in slot is Rune of re-origination and Renataki's soul charm... I doubt I'll be able to see the rune unless I'm lucky with RDF bag. =( So any advice? I really wanna help my guild progress through stuff, but lack of good gear is not helping. I don't even have a single tier piece yet as well. D:

I didn't play recently on my monk, but I can recommend getting Renataki and Shado-Pan trinkets. As for BIS, the Rune might screw you up (you need 8000-10000 haste for the smooth rotation) and you could go easily over crit cap if you don't reforge everything right.
TLDR: Renataki + Shado-Pan for progression, you could drop the Shado-Pan one for Bad Juju later on.
TLDR 2: Renataki + Bad Juju for BIS. RNG on Primordius can seriously screw you up, and you need good reforges for Rune.

So, after doing some ToT raiding i must say, i am getting pretty fed of my WW monk... they're just not rewarding enough to be played. I kept telling myself it will get better once i get better gear but i was just fooling myself... I see now why there are not that many WW monks out there

Is touch of death not working for anyone else?

Can't use it on bosses, getting "Invalid target".

It works on oondasta and Nalakk though

Not sure why, but Touch of Death gets bugged sometimes and cannot be used. It happens on random occasions... dungeons, raids, normal mobs...
