Every PvE item should be downgraded exactly how it was on retail, if you bought a *** PvE trinket, good for you. You are supporting the server and thats all nice and gucci. Bringing that filth over to a PvP environment is beyond me. Having a donation system is quite fine, even people running full prideful at week 2 of the season is also fine, but having people dominate PvP just cuz they have a bigger pocket is both stupid and unfair(We're still talking about PvE items here, you cannot make people not want gear or donate nor should you even do that).

For example, I've played solo q with a rogue earlier this week who had one of those trinkets, we exploded a fully geared prideful resto shaman in 2 *** SECONDS, not 3 not 4, 2. My question to you, would be the following...He donated as well didn't he, he supports the server he enjoys PvP, yet every time he logs he gets obliterated by people knowing how to MFD+Evisc. How is that a competitive game?

it`s a good ideea @mental. 512 for now, after a mont 522, they can go up to 540 after the majority reaches full prideful(exactly like blizzard did), but as u said, with procs squish and without pve set bonuses. Also without legendary cloaks too(i know they aren`t implemented yet, but it will be a disaster if they can be used @pvp, think about a cloak with ~60 ilvls highar + a trinketlike proc, it`s gg, right? ). I hope shoker will take a wise decision. Cheers!

Please stop it with the drama, mental is right, we need to downgrade them even more. I'll analyze the situation ~tomorrow and downgrade them and we'll see if it's better. So either post useful stuffs or don't post at all

That was patch ~5.3.....and he was in PVE ENVIRONMENT.

Also, you should have a look into PvE set bonuses in PvP:

PvE set bonuses were disabled in 2013 since the PTR came out.

The item ( chest, in our case ) gets downscaled to the current PvP gear ilvl - 10, ex: Prideful ( on our server, so, 550 - 10 = 540 ilvl )

So, as a proper explanation from my PoV: After being downscaled, PvE items should indeed provide higher stats, ( not by much; read above, for more info ^ ). The only thing that needs to disappear is the fact that some PvE items give double the stats a PvP item is giving.


Also, Shocker, you should find a way to force the PvE items to downscale in duels too:

'' PVE gear trumps PVP gear in all forms of open world combat. Without gear scaling present, the difference in ilvl is massive. ''

As a matter of fact, the downscale on trinkets ( after the fix ) is not as i explained above. The trinkets are still OP because of this. Instead of reducing their stats / gains / CD reductions, etc. to 50%, they are reduced to a 85% ish.

Without downscale: ( 16,295 AGILITY )
With downscale: ( 13,524 AGILITY )

This is barely a difference, so it should be re-worked.
Keep in mind that this is really really important, those type of players are killing others in 5 seconds, and it's not only about the trinkets but about the weapons themselves too. You can't call it ''fun'' when a player like this one comes and kills you in a second, especially that those CDR trinkets are boosting their offensive spells ( Like Killing Spree ) by a lot.

This is because he made pve items to be downscaled to 550 ilvl instead of 540 how it was on retail.
Why did he do that? Nobody knows and makes no sense...

Have you took a decision about this topic? Ok, idon't want to downscale the items more.than 540, just squish their procs. It's stupid to have a proc with 14kain stat and the pvp trinket ~7k. Just think about it, the pvp items should be best in slot for pvp environment, not pve items.
