Even 200 is too much imo...since people mostly get stucked at 1700/1650,perhaps 150-100 should really help :\.And i personally think you should cut off that thingy "you'll wait more if..." it's more logical to wait and play with people that at least have read their spells than some fury warrior that PVEs someone in the middle of the map.

So this happened today:

-beside the fact that he has feral items and green items, he did 169k dmg.....IN 5 MINUTES (that's like 33k dmg/min = 2 moonfires)

This is the worst arena i had in soloq and something must be done. I'm not complaining about his skills in balance druid (which suck), but the gear..... blindfolded and a grievous player can deal a lot more damage in that amount of time...

I see every day players abusing this and is very unfair to the others.

simply hide healers/dps in queue and only show total players, done, because that's exactly how you can abuse to que with someone, for example 2 healers in que 0 dps qued, you and you're friend que immediately and therefore both of you will be in the same team, if it were 1 dps in que one of you will match up with that dps, that's how duo q works.

If possible, please do what Turbo said until you find a better solution (if we need a better solution) or give deserter/ban to those people that duo q. Before I didn't want to name any names now I will. There are some 'Gladiators' who triple q at 3am. I already reported some of them 10 days ago and Bacchus said "Will investigate and see why this is happening." Take your time coming up with right solution, but in the meantime you should ban people that ruin the game for the rest of us.

A good solution is also to hide the players from arena spectate to avoid new exploits in the near future, doesn't bother anyone.

you get deserter if you disconnect in an arena and then reconnect to the game (or if u alt f4 and rejoin the game)

proof: See the deserter debuff while im in arena

OK.. so something really strange happened to me today.
On my monk Kangpow I had ~ 1720 mmr at solo q.. don't remember exacly.
And I was queuing 2v2 rated as windwalker.
Then I decided to play an arena as mistweaver - and while in queue I switched specs and after I entered the arena I put on the mw gear.
What happened next - I got the deserter from solo queue ~12-15 times in a row and I lost 100+ rating in the solo q bracket - dropped from 1700+ to 1579 rating and got the 30 min deserter debuff (while in a rated 2v2 arena)

Found the problem:

If you are in a 2s / 3s arena and you change an item that has a lower ilvl before the gates open. EX: A dagger from Black Temple and you get below 522 ilvl, the server thinks that you are in solo queue ( since the required soloqueue ilvl is 522 ) and it will basically give you deserter + you'll lose rating ( Not from 2s, if you was in 2s, but from solo queue. ).


EX: You are full Grievous, you queue for 2v2 - > you get inside the arena, you change your weapon with one that is lower ilvl - > you will instantly get deserter and - rate in the solo queue ( it doesn't matter if you are in 2s or 3s, the - rate will affect only the solo queue. )

Nice find.
In my case what happened exactly is that I entered the arene in mw spec and ww gear but only with one fist weapon (because ww) - so low gear score.
I don't remember exactly if the rating deduction spam happened right after I joined or after I switched gear

Not sure if this was suggested already,but could you make it so,if the game becomes non-rated due to lack of required players,make it so when the gates open,the game immediately finishes and count as non-rated rather than letting people kill each other...Kinda waste of time plus some sick guys keep playing to showoff.

Fixed, this restriction will now only be active in solo queue

This is intended and it only happens if you do that before the gates open, this is an anti-exploit measure.

I initially wanted to do it like this, but then I decided to make it non-rated only. Still, what you're saying is true, most of the times it's just a waste of time. From now on the rated arena will instantly end if not all the players joined

I don't think the matchmaking based on mmr works properly.
I heard the parameters in which you get teammates is +-300 mmr but that is certainly not the case.
What happened to me today:
I was at ~ 1840 MMR
just finished an arena and I checked - there were 0 healers and 0 dps in queue
Joined the queue and in ~ 20-30 seconds I get a game.
And I got paired with a 1470 mmr warrior.
So he wasn't in the +-300 mmr range and he wasn't in the queue longer than 3 minutes.
I hope that this aspect will be fixed soon.

PS. And I think the parameters should be lowered to ~ +-200 MMR
