Hello,

That's because you stood on falling debris. Earthshaker roar is a 2-effect spell roar + debris = earthshaking roar. The reason you have a lot of earthshaker roar on you combat log is because you got hit by the debris several times plus the roar that shares the same spell name.

Hello, im the developer that scripted Darkheart thicket, and i would like you to provide more information if possible, but first of all i would like to explain how that spell actually works so that there isnt any misunderstanding here.

Earthshaking roar has two damage parts, one at the end of the cast bar (1s cast time) that is AoE and unavoidable, and one dealt by the falling rocks visual created on a random player (1 player is chosen on each cast for that). So after all of that said, let me conclude.

- If dresaron started casting earthshaking roar non-stop (cast bar followed right after by another casting bar) then IT IS a bug.

- If your party got overwhelmed by falling rocks visuals due to ingame mechanical reasons (dead or weak DPS, etc.) that made the encounter last too long, that is NOT a bug.


If the former is the case instead of the latter, please provide more info, if possible, such as:

1) Does that happen only on mythic? what about normal or heroic?

2) Does that occur every time with every party that starts the encounter?

Edit1: Also what @cspleatiti89 said is also true, both the falling rocks and unavoidable AoE on-cast-end-damage share the same description on the combat log.

That means he stood in the AoE for 5 seconds then(Actually we cant understand from a picture, LOL)? Since the rocks ticks per second and we can see 6 procc's of the spell in his combat log.


I can confirm this, that you get one-shot from something. No idea is the rocks or the roar itself since they share same name...But mostly a second or 2 after the roar, you're dead. It doesn't happen all the time which makes it more interesting thing to investigate tho. So yea, it would be nice if you look into into these two spells

In my opinion the only problem with Dresaron after farming it for a while as a tank is the cone of the Breath of corruption https://www.wow-freakz.com/spells.php?spell=191325&&name=breath-of-corruption and the extra tick it does. It hits you no matter where you are situated as a tank, even if you move behind the boss.

The rest of the mechanics are working fine and I have not encountered the "insta kill". Maybe it is caused on melee dps that stays to close to the breath.

Yeah shocker already told me about that problem and i confirmed the breath bug, however the only thing bugged on it is the cone line targeting (wich is already fixed here in my local and will be send together with vault of the wardens), the spell is supposed to tick 3 times and you can confirm it using any retail video just as i did when i was scripting dresaron. The spell has a SPELL_ATTR5_START_PERIODIC_AT_APPLY (wich makes it insta tick when aura is applied), lasts for 2 seconds, and ticks every 1 second, with a total of 3 debuff stacks.

There is also the problem with first boss on feral after jumpin a player has to recieve a bleeding debuff, on hc and mythic adds spawned by the boss should leave a corruptiontrial. Second boss should do aoe damage when throwin the tank to other players also rootss should spawn adds on hc and mythic.

1. Archdruid Glaidalis: Debuff: https://www.wow-freakz.com/spells.php?spell=196376 (wowhead link) (all difficulties)

2. Archdruid Glaidalis: Only on mythic Nghtmare abomination "Crawls toward its prey, leaving a trail of corruption in it's wake" (quoted from Adventure Guide)

3. Oakheart throw: https://www.wow-freakz.com/spells.php?spell=204611 (wowhead link) (all difficulties)

4. Oakheart Uproot: https://www.wow-freakz.com/spells.php?spell=212786 (wowhead link) (Adventure guide says its on hc and mythic but wowhead says just mythic, i dont have freakz database atm if you could look at this will be awesome)

If im not mistaken, i didnt put the specific mythic mechanics for the bosses because i was running out of time and had another project to press on but i will do my best so that they can be on live realms in the next update.

Regarding 1) that debuff is removed if player is above 90% health if im not mistaken. So maybe its getting absorved/healed back up isntantly and its not even ticking?

Yeah you are completly right that should banish (grievous tear debuff) after reaching more than 90% hp. However first boss is not jumping to other players just repeating two abilities (those are correct) but not jumping or leaving the debuff.

This is from a couples hours ago, I focus shaman elemental and told him do not heal by any means but as you can see on his tag no debuff on him or me (grievous tear).

Ps. I almost forgot Shade of Xavius is not casting Apocaliptic nightmare at 50% hp.

Thats weird, that jump works totally fine here in my local, the apocalyptic nightmare aswell. Guess its something me and Shocker need to sort out.

i think u have some problems if u think this boss work! please read ability how should work and dont come here and say we dont know script on that boss.
