WoW Freakz spell link: All energy units (not sure about NPC. Because, I am not a dev and I have no access to test NPCs)

Bug description: Energy units have a static GCD of 1 sec. It should not be affected by haste what so ever. Meaning it will be never below 1 sec.

This is pretty game breaking and gives these classes an advantage in DPS equal to the % of their haste.

On wow freakz it does.

Units I've personally tested:

1. Windwalker monk

2. Brewmaster monk

3. All Druid specs in cat form

4. All rogue specs - ( Bow needs to amend his report - https://trello.com/c/eTVjYNXA/877-rogue-global-cooldown-vs-haste )

5. All energy pets

5. Basically all units with energy bar

Retail Proof:

I tested all of the above however I honestly don't see the need of capturing every single class to demonstrate this. This is clearly related only to energy heroes and pets with base GCD of 1 sec.

You can clearly see on this retail video a feral with alter time witch is 30% haste increase doesn't effect his 1 sec GCD at all:

12:47 - check the GCD with 30% extra haste from alter time. it is still 1 sec

https://youtube.com/watch?v=dLMC4a34lFw&t=748:

Wow freakz demos:

1. I've made a demonstration. Please note despite the fact the GCD on stats shown 1 sec. That is only because addon wasn't designed to lower down the GCD any lower than that due to ferals having static 1 sec GCD.

0:18 - you see shred GCD is on point
1:22 - you see shred GCD timer on skill bar resets way sooner than before due to extra haste added via rings and head
1:39 - you see in combat log 2x shreds procced during one 1 sec GCD at 17:08:40
2:02 - regular gear no haste added doesn't effect GCD of shred

https://youtube.com/watch?v=YI1HeFevhMw:

:

2. DK pet uses energy. Since DK pet benefits from master's haste you can see how the GCD end 15% before. And the DK has 15% haste

Respectfully Bow you didnt quite understand us, you made report that rogue gcd should not go bellow 0.75, but thats not the problem, problem is that gcd of this classes is affected by haste and it should not be whatsoever It should be fixed at 1 sec . You can use Deja Character stats addon that is working on blizzard formula to see that by default feral/rogue gcd stat doesnt change no matter how much haste you have and check videos in report tha zeakey made. Gcd of feral druid does not change during bloodlust effect in the video

Yes Bow seems not understand how GCD works for energy classes. I hope this example clears things up for Rogue Mod.

1. On this .gif u can see 1 sec GCD right next to garrote timer. It is excatly 1 sec despite rogue being under effect of Altertime (30% haste increase)

https://imgur.com/X0lj2Pa

Here is a retail video of that example above:

0:50 - 1 sec GCD in alter time

That's from wowpedia, so unless you can show me some blue post or some more credible proof I'll stick with this.

Ok I won't even going to go through the countless examples people have provided you from retail.

I will simply point out what you have missunderstood from that "blue post" you've linked

https://imgur.com/a/uQLHb54

It says that the mimimum GCD of 1 sec has changed over to 0.75 sec for the spells originated from 1.5 sec. The only thing was mentioned about rogues was that they have 1 sec GCD.

It even mentioned that (1.0 sec prior to Legion). 1 Sec prior to legion was minimum GCD for spells with 1.5 sec. The rogue GCD remained unchanged of 1 sec.

If you think you are right can you explain me why does rogue in the example presented above in Antorus raid has unchanged GCD of 1 sec with 30% haste?

1sec prior to legion refers to the fact it's 0.75s now, there is no reference to the 1.5s at all. Furthermore there is not a single reference it shouldnt affect rogues.

About energy specs it says they MOSTLY have a 1sec GCD. There is not a single mention anywhere that it is fixed to 1s. And for all your countless examples none of you ever showed any legit proof about it being a static 1s GCD, all you ever posted were videos and reddit comments.

As for your haste videos, neither the post nor I ever stated how much haste is required to reduce the GCD. So, if we take into account that rogues will not be running around with 60% permanent haste gear, which is obvious, if you know how rogue works, then it's safe to say that after the fix since ''bloodlust'' isnt enough as you say to reduce GCD, the global cooldown will still be 1s for rogues, so you have nothing to worry about.

Ok bow lets do it step by step.

Can I please ask you to go on this link

https://youtube.com/watch?v=oYAbNntNUhU&t=47:

0:50 - see that rogue's GCD is exactly 1 sec

Feel free to use slow motion x 0.25 to see it better. I know i did.

https://imgur.com/X0lj2Pa

So are we safe to say that rogues GCD isn't going below 1 sec on that retail video 7.3? Can you agree on that?

I am not really sure why do you even bother with these numbers. Haste shouldn't benefit energy classes with base 1 sec GCD full stop. That's it. Nothing complicated to it. It has always been like that since they introduced static 1 sec GCD for energy classes.

While on wowfreakz you can perform 2 attacks per 1 second cuz its bugged. -

So you are telling me according to video you concluded that gcd on energy users is 1 sec on retail and lower than 1 sec on freakz by feel, freakz part is okay, but why are you bothering to look for a clue in videos when you can check the event log on wow logs, which clearly shows when each spell is being used and at what time.

Here is an example of outlaw rogue log,and if you do the math he casted his spells in a time frame of 0.832.Idk i don't play any of these classes but provide some solid proof because this log clearly shows you are wrong.

Outlaw rogue is not a good proof for this because of Adrenaline rush
https://www.wow-freakz.com/spells.php?spell=13750&&name=adrenaline-rush

The Effect #2 reduces the GCD by 0.2 seconds

So if you see that he can't cast spells during adrenaline rush faster than 0.8 seconds this means that the GCD is, as the poster says, locked at 1 second

Combat logs from assasination rogue affected by high haste.

From here we can see that GCD of MUtilate is

42.541 - 41.843 = 0.698

Which is even below Bow standard of 0.75.

Meaning energy classes have no limit whatsoever when it comes to haste.

Gimme your discord if you would like me to send you my logs.

Sure then take a look at other events of assa if he doesn't have any specific gcd modifiers and do the math as i said i don't play any of these classes just gave u a way to proove the point.

If we take 2 of the top logs (skipping the korean/chinese cause i can't read them) for rogue Assa and Outlaw

https://www.warcraftlogs.com/reports/YnQ4rvV7f6cFK1zD#fight=1&&type=damage-done&&source=28&&view=events for assa we see that none of his 2 spell casts are less than 1 second inbetween

https://www.warcraftlogs.com/reports/jDPNMrkAJVYf9LxR#fight=6&&type=damage-done&&source=12&&view=events for outlaw we see that none of his 2 spells (during adrenaline rush) are cast less than 0.8 sec inbetween

This should serve as sufficient proof since if the top dps players on retail could not use their spells faster then it should be like that

And as the OP says, this issue is present for all energy classes not just rogues, but used rogues since they were most discussed

Pff top dps ... I never even played a rogue and I can bypass GCD to 0.69 xD

I do play monk though.. so dont get me wrong.. i know what i am talking about. WW and BW monk has same issue.

Update @ 09-06-2020, 22:55:53

There you go:

GCD of 1.016

Which is almost 1 sec.

Couldnt find anything lower then that on Assassination rogue.

Can we now agree there is a problem?

It is no where near 0.69 GCD i was able to recreate on freakz on my assassination

Well again you are wrong. Even assassination goes under 1s. Just look at the log you sent man.

https://imgur.com/a/jesj2L0

Explain that then, if it's not possible to go under 1s. Furthermore it's done multiple times in a fight so I hope you wont suggest that he had Blood lust for 3minutes.
