So i open my client today and read the server info as i always do. It made me very happy to read that you found the reason for the crashes, but i read further and see your "reward" for the "loyal" players!!!
I have voted in Cata realm and try to vote here once and it did not get "approved" BUT YOU decided to give only vote points to the players who have voted in the last 2 weeks.
THAT IS BULLSHIT MY MAN!!! even if half the population did NOT vote, they deserve the 40 points for having to go through the HELL of DCs we had to go through. Even if some did not vote, who is to say they did not maybe donate for your pocket!!!???

Come on man be fair to your WHOLE population!!

Voting works for those who do it properly. You have a voting guide that shows what needs to be done at every step for you to receive the points.

Denim, don't give us that crap.
You know it, we know it, Shocker's grandma knows it.
Even people who do vote properly, like it's said in that guide, sometimes don't get Vote points.
Happened to a bunch of other people, happened to me too.

You're trying to blame us for your or the voting site mistakes, but I'm guessing yours because that's the kind of server Freakz™ is.

It's not the server's fault or the voting sites. I do not obviously blame anyone, because it's not anyone's problem if you by accident skip one of the steps. How come everytime i and many others i know vote, and we receive the points? As proof, just tried now

The voting option DID have a few issues, at least for me a long time ago, with not being recognized. I don't care about those 40 free points, you can keep them, but your logic of "it works for me, must be working for everyone else" is plain wrong.

See, I have this rock that scares tigers away, do you see any tigers around here? No? Would you like to buy this rock?

Don't take me wrong, I completely approve of motivating the playerbase to vote for the server, it's awesome, just the response we get on the forums are baffling.

@Denim: you deffenity did not READ my post completely!! the issue is not about if the voting system is working or not!!! Its about SHOCKER not being fair to the rest of the population!!! Its not like ONLY the voters game session LAGGED or DCed, ALL have the same problem. and as i said: some vote and some donate, so if I'm a donater, witch puts MONEY in SHOCkERS pocket (I mean really now, maintaining a BAND NEW BMW is a lot of money) I don't get rewarded for sticking it out and not leave this server, taking ALL me members from horde and Ally (lets say about 300+ players) to a new server??? think about that and reply with logic. you are not ALWAYS dealing with teenage kids here!!

I agree with the OP, this issue affected everyone, so everyone should get something for the caused inconvenient. However, I think that the vote shop lacks enough VP sinks. As a solution to that the montly lottery can be VP based - buy a ticket for the lottery with VP. it's a custom feature, it doents need to be free. but yeah, staff's general interaction with the population can and should be polished.

Well.. I gotta agree with the this post. I mean everyone was suffering from crashes,rollbacks,disconects. and only voters got rewarded(lmao 40vote points) anyway still its better then nothing. So I gotta say it like this. Why would I vote for a server which used to crash on each 10-40mins(god bless when it was over an hour uptime),when every single crash had AT LEAST a 5-10mins rollbacks(trust me,with 15weekly rdfs THIS is ANNOYING + multiple toons )
So its pretty clear here. Everyone suffered the same crap,reward everyone.
Hell IF we wouldev gotten 1 CENT for each crash that happened before these crash fixed came in,we would probably be able a mount or something from donation store.

I agree with some posts here, voting system is half-broken and very inconvenient, hence discouraging even people who want to vote to vote, making this whole thing unfair towards them.

Problem is, a lot of people here mistake reward with compensation. The point of those 40 bonus vote points was not to say "we're sorry for crashes" and try to calm people down with some nice virtual currency, but rather to give people who tried to promote the server at least a little bit via voting, despite many crashes and rollbacks.

The fact that you're still playing here after the last 2-3 weeks proves more than enough that someone's loyal. Can't discuss subjective definitions of random stuff.

As for the voting system, it was broken a LONG time ago, probably works now, but the point of the OP was:

instead of encouraging people to vote (by giving everyone the few points you gave) - you're punishing the ones who didn't do it lately (thou with an angrier approach).
