[5.4.8] Destruction Warlock Discussion

I can't seem to figure out what I'm doing wrong, if someone can enlighten me, please.
I have a Destro ilvl 514 and my burst barely reaches 100k and then the dps goes down to 80k. I have all the items with Mastery gems (84% Mastery and reforged with the Addon), I have enchants on everything, I tried 4 different rotations (now I use Immolate, Conflagrate, Chaos Bolt then spam Incinerate and repeat). I can't seem to deal more than 90k constantly (buffed maybe 105k).

The question I have is, am I doing something wrong? My dps has barely raised from 60k to 80k in 50 ilvl and everyone I talked to told me my dps is unsually low... Any ideas?

I suggest you to pick up the following talents: Archimonde's Darkness and Grimoire of Sacrifice.

Supremacy>Sacrifice till higher ilvls like ~540. This is because of low mastery and intellect meaning less damage on incinerate, immolate, conflagrate, shadowburn and chaos bolt.

My lock is 529 sitting with 18k intel, 2k haste, 16k mastery and 7k crit (unbuffed) but i already feel like sacrifice is better, but that's because i mainly play with Sacrificial pact so its effect is mediocre if i go supremacy.

I deal less damage with Sacrifice than with Supremacy (20k less) but even so buffed I rarely reach 110 dps and usually only during bursts...

Well you should see this guide.It has everything you need to know about destruction, and if you want to learn more i suggest looking at some youtube videos of sparkuggz/evrelia/ignocia, all 3 of them were good warlock on retail. After seeing your armory i suggest you need to learn how to gem properly, yes mastery is better than intellect when it comes to gems but it's not worth losing 120 bonus intellect or 180, also uneering vision of Lei Shen got nerfed really hard for us so you should switch it wish a Cha'ye or Breath asap.

T16 2p will prove to be amazing for Demo locks since the 20% damage increase from soul fire will be awsome. Destruction will also do well generally (when have they done bad since the bloody start), wouldnt really comment on affliction. 4p is quite godlike for all 3 specs IMO. Everything will fit right in for warlock this patch if any1 did struggle in the previous tiers. Also since many of the SoO encounters has lots of adds Destro and Demo will pull quite ahead of affliction except protectors or maybe even dark shaman if we keep both of em outside.

I feel like 2p for Demo will be Rng, either if you get lucky with molten core procs in the opener or get the buff. 4p for Affliction is really trash in my opinion, i would rather stack mastery over those worthless stats because in order to proc it you need to let it fall off and i don't really like that. I feel like Affliction will dominate this patch, some encounters that will prove destro/demo is superior is Siegecrafter and maybe Galakras.

Destruction has a good chance of doing so many chaos bolts in a single fight just caz increased crit generates 2 ember bits filling up embers quickly but yea apart from the 4p affli should do good .

I have always stuck mainly with pve, in raids I feel like I did very well. Since starting pvp, and gearing as fast as I can, I have proven myself to really suck at it. I am currently at 523 and have been told by almost everyone to stay out of 3x3 (I only did for the Easter event). What pointers can anyone give me to better my destro pvp game... I really don't want to switch specs.
